Walmart’s fall from Grace
Walmart (WMT) was once the leader in the retail field consistantly expanding and beating estimates on both sales and profits. Although hated by small business owners, Walmart (WMT) was the darling of the retail industry and a favorite shopping spot for people from all walks of life. Now Walmart (WMT) is reporting the worst sales in October for a 12 year period. Walmart (WMT) saw only a .4 percent increase in sales and missed analyst estimates. Sam’s Club (owned by Walmart) also had terrible results. Walmart predicted sales would be flat in November. This is a bad sign and hopefully things pick up for Walmart for the holiday season. If not I may have to sell my Walmart stock.
