The dollar depreciated and Oil reached $98 a barrel

The markets were down today as the dollar depreciated and Oil reached $98 a barrel. General Motors posted a loss of $39 billion and Time Warner’s profits were down by over fifty percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 159 points down 1.16 percent for the day with 5 hours left in trading for the day. The NASDAQ was down 30.68 points down 1 percent for the day with 5 hours left in trading. All of my stocks were down today with Emerging Markets Telecommunications Fund Inc. (ETF) down 1.76 percent, JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM) down 1.75 percent, and Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) down 1 percent. Overall my holdings were down 1 percent for the day so far. For a 2 year period my holdings are up 26.93 percent or 14 percent per year.
