On talks of a five year mortgage rate freeze from the Bush administration and positive economic data including an expected Fed cut, the markets sprung to life. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1.48 percent for the day up 196 points. The NASDAQ was up 46.53 points up 1.78 percent for the day.
