Investors gained additional confidence today
Investors gained additional confidence today as the minutes from a Fed meeting called a rate cut in September “prudent”. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 80 points up .57 percent with 1 hour remaining in trading for the day. The NASDAQ was up 15 points up .54 percent with 1 hour remaining in trading for the day. Most of my individual positions looked strong with Microsoft (MSFT) up 1.34 percent for the day and up 18.17% for a two year period, Exxon Mobile (XOM) up 1.78 percent for the day and up 45.73% for a two year period, and Emerging Markets Telecommunications Fund Inc. (ETF) up 1.94 percent for the day and up 21.66% for a one year period. My overall holdings for a two year period are up 25.24 percent or 12.62 percent per year. Even Lowes (LoW) is up .42% for the day although it is down 14.41% for the year.
