Home sales increased in April, home prices are down 14.1 percent
Good news in the housing market helped boost the markets today. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 23 points up .19 percent for the day with 1 hour of trading left for the day. The Nasdaq was up 19.96 points .82 percent for the day with 1 hour left in trading. Even though home sales increased in April, home prices are down 14.1 percent the biggest drop in twenty years. Consumer confidence is at a sixteen year low. Still no word on the Microsoft Yahoo deal. Hopefully we will see things turn around soon.
