For the first time in 2 years the Dow Jones Industrial Average is now under 11,000. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 221 points for the day with 3 hours remaining on news that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are in desperate trouble. Both are looking unstable and the only two government sponsored lenders are looking ready to collapse. Things are not looking good.
