A storm in Flordia has taken down all of IZEAs web sites. These include Social Spark, PayPerPost, their IZEA corporate homepage, and other properties. They have been down for about 4 hours so far
There is no temporary outage message, no email to advertisers or bloggers. A phone call to IZEA returned a secretary that did not have any information. The only real updates have come from the CEO of IZEA on Twitter:
@jfanaian florida atlantic. been great up until today…. but this is not acceptable.

tedmurphy our data center is down. completely. isn’t uptime the reason why we pay so much to be there? 24 minutes ago from web
Poor data center capacity and load issues have long plauged many of their systems. Is this a standard case of poor disaster recover, an indication of time to switch data centers, or a hint at much larger problems? What are your thoughts?

I think it’s just a simple server problem, but one never knows. It could be a sign of too much cost cutting coming home to roost.
