The United States markets are closed today Thursday, November 22, 2007 for Thanksgiving day. Many retailers however are open on Thanksgiving trying to get a head start on the holiday season. There is a huge push toward midnight shopping and black friday deals as well. I would expect to see more and more retailers moving to twenty four hour operations. Oil prices are sitting around $97 a barrel. The markets in London, Germany, and France are up today with Hong Kong and Tokyo markets falling sharply on a lending crackdown in China. I see China heading for large financial problems.
