Positive earnings news bolstered the stock market again today with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 109.26 points up .81 percent for the day and the Nasdaq UP 45.33 up 1.65 percent for the day. Apple Inc (AAPL) took off on huge increases in earnings up 6.77 percent for the day which is up 88.29 percent for the year. Emerging Markets Telecommunications Fund Inc. (ETF) was also up 5 percent for the day up 27.33 percent for the year. Walmart (WMT) was down 2.92 percent for the day on slow growth news and is now down 10.37 percent for a two year period. I am glad I sold that looser Lowes (LOW) because it was down .74 percent today.
