In an amazing release the first quarter profit of Microsoft (MSFT) beat the street estimates on sales of the Halo 3 vidoe game, Windows, and Office. Microsoft posted profit of $4.29 billion beating estimates from analysts of $3.9 billion. Revenue for Microsoft grew 27 percent from the quarter last year and Microsoft has sold 85 million copies of Windows Vista. Shares of Microsoft (MSFT) were up and additional 12% in after hours trading after being up 2.37% for the day during normal trading. This represents a huge gain for Microsoft. Not including after hours trading Microsoft is up 25% for me for a two year period.
