The Fed announced that they were lowering the interest rate by only .25 percent instead of .50 percent and investors freaked. The Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 294 points down 2.14 percent. The NASDAQ also fell 66.6 points down 2.45 percent for the day. All of my stocks except for McDonalds fell about 2 percent. Overall I lost 1.88 percent today. After hours trading was mixed.
