There are few things in this world that I love more than my kids. I have raised them from the beginning and happily watched every little achievement and shuddered at the smallest of injuries. Teaching my teenage son to drive was one of the most stressful and frustrating things I have ever done. Many a time I had to bite my tongue so hard to keep from yelling that it almost led to tears. I kept saying to myself “It is an important skill. He needs to know how to drive.”. But know that he knows how to drive I am deathly afraid to let him go anywhere in the car. One consolation is a GPS tracking unit that can be installed in the car so I can monitor where my teenager is driving too. If there is ever a problem I can immediately locate him.

Rocky Mountain Tracking, Inc. has many different GPS tracking devices for personal and business use. The system lets me monitor my teenager in real time as well as have a history record and receive alerts. It is not quite the same thing as being in the car with my teenager but it sure feels like it.

I’ll never forget the first time my husband came home from his first drive with our oldest son. He was white and shaking and stammering. LOL It’s hard watching them grow up isn’t it? The driving thing has to be about the worst - especially with boys, I think…
A GPS is a GREAT idea - I may have to do some serious thinking on this for the summer!
