1. If it sounds too good to be true it is a scam

2. If you have to pay any money upfront it is a scam

3. If you receive large amount of “samples” it is probably a scam where you have to pay for unsold samples

4. Research a company with the Better Business Bureau and other sources

5. Can you contact the business on the phone during business hours?

6. Is the same information available for free at the library?

7. Is there actually a market for the service or product? Ask your neighbors and friends

8. Envelope stuffing is always a scam

9. Telemarketing is always a scam

10. “If you only get 3 other people” is always a pyramid scheme and scam

11. Selling healthcare products, vitamins, weight loss, etc usually isn’t worth your time

12. Making money isn’t easy

I’m living proof; working on the internet is not easy. I’ve been scammed, more than once actually. However, I have found an opportunity which fails your 12 point test. It has proved to be rewarding personally and financially. One still must work hard, but at least you will see results from your effort.
