What started out as a bad day got worse. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended down 315.79 points down 2.51 percent. The Nasdaq was down 60.09 points down 2.58 percent. Consumer spending is in the toilet. Even Google shares were down to 471.18 which is the lowest level in six months. Wow everyone is getting hammered.
Rough day. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell over 200 points on bad earnings and economy fears. The dollar is tanking and investors are scared. It looks like we will need a Fed cut to pull out of this. The Nasdaq is also down 1.71 percent for the day so far.

The markets fell again along rising oil prices, bad job data, banking problems, the housing market and more. Amazingly Apple Inc, (AAPL) stock was up 5.56 percent on high demand for iphones. The rest of my stocks were all down today. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished down 112.10 points down .88 percent for the day. The Nasdaq was down 22.21 points down .94 percent. It looks like the Fed will cut rates soon.

The markets are up on positive news from IBM of a stock buyback. The deal is a good one and includes $15 billion in stock to be bought back. The Dow Jones Industrial Average responded by jumping over 100 points up .80 percent. The NASDAQ is up .72 percent up 16.70 points. I am amazed at the continued positive outlook despite housing, credit, jobs, consumer confidence, and other concerns.
The markets were up today on Ambac Financial Group ratings and news of the Visa IPO. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 189.20 points up 1.53 percent for the day. The NASDAQ was up 24.13 points up 1.05 percent for the day. The housing crunch is still on. We will see what lies ahead.
