The market has been crazy this week. With markets plunging and the Fed unexpectidly swooping in and then markets recovering. Today was a more typical Friday of investors afraid to go into the weekend. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 171.44 points down 1.38 percent. The NASDAQ was down 34.72 points with the NASDAQ down 1.47 percent.
In a town hall meeting this evening, Ted Murphy proved once again that he listens to his customers both Advertisers and Publishers (posties) by announcing that Google PR will be removed from the current Pay Per Post and will not be incorporated into the new soon to be released Social Spark (despite a video showing PR included). This met thunderous cheers from the Publishers and was immediately backed up with statistics from heavy communication with old and new advertisers that really they are interested ultimately in Return on Investment, visitors to their sites, and quality reviews instead of here today gone tomorrow link juice that does not really effect SERPs that much anyway. I am very happy with this update and look forward to the increased adoption of Real Rank and ROI Rank!

International Markets have been down recently. Futures trading seems to show a 4% loss coming for Tuesday. It would have been nice to liquidate my investments 3 weeks ago and sit out of all these losses. What will this week hold? Looks like more bad news. The Fed is our only hope at the end of this month.

Stocks ended down for the day with what was most likely a case of the Friday blues. Things have taken a tole for the worst. My holdings are have suffered huge losses in the last few weeks. What was a twenty eight percent gain beginning in a third year is now reduced to a 13.71 percent gain for a three year period. Almost 10 percent gains per year have been reduced to 4 percent gains per year. Only a large Fed interest rate cut in the terms of 1 percent could offer some hope.
The Markets started up today on news of a $145 billion tax relief plan. I was hoping for a good day but stocks immediately fell after Bush’s plan. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 67 points down .55 percent with 4 hours of trading left for the day. The NASDAQ was down 6 points down .27 percent with 4 hours of trading left for the day. Hopefully there is not another huge selloff.
