The markets ended up Friday with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 205 points up 1.55 percent and the NASDAQ up 51.13 points up 1.94 percent for the day. Most of my stocks were up for the day including Apple Inc. (AAPL) up 3.58 percent for the day. Overall for the day I gained 1.81 percent and for a two year period I am up 28.31 percent.
Consumer spending increased in November. The Fed is pumping in more money into the banking system. The markets were up today on other positive earning news. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 172 points up 1.3 percent for the day with 5 hours left in trading. The NASDAQ was up 33.96 points up 1.29 percent with 5 hours in trading in the day. Today is shaping up to be a great day. I hope this can continue going into the new year.
Morgan Stanely has posted the first loss in 75 years. This was caused by writing down $9 billion in real estate debt. Credit and mortgage concerns held markets to only modest gains. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 28.78 points up .22 percent with an hour left in trading. The NASDAQ was up 10.22 points up .39 percent. Stocks are mixed today with Disney down 2 percent and JPM up .50 percent.

(XOM) up 1.7 percent and JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM) down 1.41 percent. Overall for a two year period I am up 25.5 percent. This is off the high of up almost 30 percent.
The markets were down today after a positive day yesterday. High gas prices and energy costs and rising costs in China caused inflation worries. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 62 points down .5 percent for the day with 4 hours of trading left. The NASDAQ was down 4 points down .15 percent with 4 hours in trading left in the day. Stocks were surprisingly mixed today with Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) up 1.6 percent on strong holiday game sales. Walt Disney Co. (DIS) was up .7 percent as well. Overall I am even for the day with a 28.75 percent gain for a two year period.

The Fed announced that they were lowering the interest rate by only .25 percent instead of .50 percent and investors freaked. The Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 294 points down 2.14 percent. The NASDAQ also fell 66.6 points down 2.45 percent for the day. All of my stocks except for McDonalds fell about 2 percent. Overall I lost 1.88 percent today. After hours trading was mixed.
