Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke hinted at a rate cut coming soon. The market responded favoribly with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 22.28 points up .17 ercent for the day. The NASDAQ was up 5.22 points up .20 percent. Most of my stocks were up today including Apple Inc. (AAPL) up 2.26 percent for the day. Overall I gained .51 percent for the day. For a two year period I am up 24.33 percent.

Overall today I was up 2.55 percent. For a two year period I have gains of 23.47 percent. Not a bad rally for the day. All of my stocks were up today including Emerging Markets Telecommunications Fund Inc. (ETF) up 5.4 percent for the day. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 331 points up 2.55 percent. The NASDAQ was up 82 points up 3.18 percent for the day. Positive feeling on a Fed rate cut came even as home sales fell for 8 months straight and the economy weekend.

The markets ended up recovering yesterdays losses. Citi found it’s capital and positive news helped the markets rise. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished up 215 points up 1.69 percent for the day. The NASDAQ was up 39.81 points up 1.57 percent for the day. Many of my holdings were up for the day including JPM up 4.67 percent, and Walmart up 1.78 percent. Emerging Markets Telecommunications Fund Inc. (ETF) was still down .58 percent for the day. It will be interesting to see what happens in after hour trading.

After a terrible day yesterday stocks are higher on positive financial news. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 145 ponts up 1.14 percent with 5 hours of trading left for the day. The NASDAQ was up 1.37 percent up 35 points with 5 hours of trading left for the day. Many of my stocks are up today. JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM) is up 3.16 percent and Walmart (WMT) is up 1.93 percent so far on positive holiday shopping news. Overall my portfolio has recovered .83 percent of losses from yesterday but my overall portfolio is still only up 19.78 percent for a two year period. This is still far off my high of 26% in a two year period.

Credit Worries Slam the Markets

Ho Ho Ho. Merry Creditmas! Markets took a tumble on rising credit concerns and banking concerns. The United States Treasury Yield reached a two and a half year low on the 10 Year Treasury rates. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 237 points down 1.83 percent. The NASDAQ was down 55 points down 2.14 percent for the day. All of my stocks (even those that started out positively) took a hit and I overall lost 2 percent for the day. Microsoft (MSFT) was down 3.34 percent for the day and JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM) was down 3.55 percent for the day. Man this stinks.
