One of the most expensive requirements or investments is high risk life insurance. High risk life insurance is for individuals who participate regularly in very hazardous activities such as car racing, flying a plane, scuba diving, rock climbing, or shark fighting or if you have a terrible health condition such as heart disease, severe diabetes, or cancer. If any of these apply to you but you still need life insurance you still have options at your disposal.

Google is at a crossroads with the investigation into their purchase of Double Click and in for the fight of their lives against Microsoft. A senate panel did not take a definitive position on blocking or supporting the deal but did call for heavy federal regulation as well as recommending an increase in privacy protection at Google. Microsoft lost the bid to Google to purchase Double Click and is clearly pissed. Supposedly the Double Click acquisition gives Google control over the largest database of online users. The Federal Trade Commission is currently reviewing potential violations of antitrust laws. Google stock has as of yet been unaffected. Rumors of Google developing a version of Second Life virtual world and testing it on college students at the University of Arizona have also been swirling.

There was tons of bad news but no one seemed to care with the majority of my stocks up today with Emerging Markets Telecommunications Fund Inc. (ETF) leading the way up 3.15 percent for the day. This stock (I mean exchange traded fund) is now up 15 percent for the year which is frankly surprising. Another leader today was Apple Inc (AAPL) up 1.13 percent for the day. Stupid Lowes (LOW) was down .91 percent for a 16.16% loss for the year I AM GOING TO SELL THIS STOCK. Overall though I was up .49 percent for the day for a grand total of up 22 percent for a 2 year period or up 11 percent per year.

Surprise Surprise the stock market posted a small gain with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up almost 20 points up .14 percent for the day with the NASDAQ up 15.5 points up .58 percent for the day. Microsoft MSFT stayed positive on news of the Halo 3 Game despite the negative impact of scratched disks and Apple Inc, AAPL finished up 3.3 percent for the day. The market got off to a slow start today with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down just 7 points almost even with the NASDAQ up 3 points up .1% with 4 hours remaining in trading. More negative news hit today with existing home sales at a 5 year low, the largest home prices drop in 16 years, and poor consumer confidence. Lowes (LOW) was a huge looser today down 5%. I should have dumped this stock. Lowes is now down 14 percent for the year. Walmart (WMT) was also down 2 percent for the day and McDonalds MCD was down 1.3 percent for the day. Microsfot MSFT and Apple Inc AAPL were both up almost 1 percent for the day however minimizing the losses.
